The Little Miss Princess mentoring program hosted a fashion show entitled “Bold and BeYOUtiful,” to raise awareness against anti-bullying.
I had the pleasure of assisting Tiyunna Johnson, (Frugal-Style Curator /Creator of Thrift in Style Events), with styling a few lovely young ladies for this spectacular fashion show.
I got to watch as little girls, teenagers, and women, strutted their stuff down the runway. They beamed with confidence and happiness. This show felt necessary. It is so important that we continue to pour positivity, love, and confidence into the lives of young girls so that they may grow up with the understanding that they are valued.
All of the looks featured on the 5 ladies above were apart of Tiyunna’s Thrift Collection. That’s right, everything worn by these ladies came from a thrift store. Tiyunna understands the importance of looking good for less. As she has stated, she specializes in “making the cheap look chic.”
